Embark on a truly special 10-night Char Dham tour package that starts right from Delhi. This journey will take you to the most important pilgrimage sites in Uttarakhand: Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath. You can easily book these affordable packages through the best tour and travel agency in Haridwar.
Each destination holds deep spiritual significance: At Gangotri Dham, you’ll visit the sacred temple honoring the Hindu goddess Ganga, believed to be the very spot where the holy river first touched the earth. Yamunotri Dham is nestled in the beautiful Garhwal Himalayas, about 150 kilometers north of Uttarkashi. Kedarnath Dham is a revered temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, also known as Mahadeva. Finally, Badrinath Dham, a very holy Hindu site, is devoted to Lord Vishnu and is located in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand.
Our journey began as we left Haldwani for Haridwar (a 228 km trip). We traveled through the Kaladhungi-Bazpur route, passing Nagina Dham, and arrived in Haridwar. In the evening, you can witness the beautiful Ganga Aarti ceremony by the riverbank, where people float lamps on the holy water.
After a holy dip in the Ganga River, we’ll leave Haridwar and drive to Barkot (7-8 hours, 210 km). We’ll pass through Dehradun and Mussoorie, stopping to see Kempty Falls along the way. You’ll stay overnight in Barkot.
Head to Janki Chatti, then trek 5 km to Yamunotri Temple. Here, you can take a holy dip in Garam Kund, offer prayers, and have darshan (sacred viewing). Afterward, trek back to Janki Chatti and drive to Barkot for your overnight stay.
Today, we’ll drive to Uttarkashi (4 hours, 100 km). You’ll visit the Vishwanath Temple there and stay overnight in Uttarkashi.
With a packed breakfast, we’ll head to Gangotri Dham for prayers and darshan. On the way, you’ll see Gangnani and Harsil. After your visit, we’ll return to Uttarkashi for the night.
This is a longer drive (8-9 hours, 290 km) from Uttarkashi to Sitapur or Guptkashi. We’ll visit Tehri Dham on the way. You’ll stay overnight in Sitapur/Guptkashi.
Drive to the Phata/Sirsi Helipad and take a helicopter ride to Kedarnath Dham. You’ll have about 2 hours to perform Pooja (worship) at the temple. Afterward, return by helicopter to Phata or Rampur and stay overnight in Sitapur.
After breakfast, we’ll drive to Badrinath (7-8 hours, 220 km), passing through Chopta and Joshimath. In the evening, you’ll attend the aarti and have darshan at Badrinath Dham. You’ll stay overnight in Badrinath Ji.
Start your day with a dip in Taptkund and have Darshan of Badrivishal. You’ll also visit Brahamakapal and other famous spots like Vyas Gufa, Maatamoorti, Charanpaduka, Bhimkund, and see the source of the Saraswati River. Then, we’ll drive to Rudraprayag (6 hours, 170 km).
Drive to Haridwar (6-7 hours, 165 km), passing through Devprayag and Rishikesh. In Rishikesh, you can visit Ram Jhula and Laxman Jhula. In the evening, if time allows, you can attend the Aarti at Har ki Pauri in Haridwar.
After breakfast, we’ll drive from Haridwar back to Haldwani-Kathgodam (5-6 hours, 240 km). You’ll be dropped off at your hotel, the airport, or the railway station, concluding your wonderful Char Dham Yatra.
