Travel Itinerary

Day 01: Haridwar/Rishikesh to Guptkashi (250 km / 8-9 hours)

Your journey begins from Haridwar Railway Station and heads towards Guptkashi. On the way, you’ll visit the famous Dhari Devi Temple, located in the middle of the Alaknanda River near Srinagar (Kalyasaur).

Once in Guptkashi, you’ll explore places like Vishwanath Temple, Ardhnareshwar Temple, and Manikarnika Kund, where it is believed that the rivers Ganga and Yamuna meet.

According to Hindu mythology, the Pandavas once tried to meet Lord Shiva here, but Shiva avoided them as he believed they were responsible for their sins.

You will stay overnight in a hotel at Guptkashi, arranged by the CallATour team.

Day 02: Guptkashi – Sonprayag – Kedarnath Trek (35 km drive / 18 km trek each way)

On Day 2, you will travel from Guptkashi to Sonprayag and then to Gaurikund by jeep. Gaurikund is a sacred site with natural hot springs and a temple dedicated to Mata Gauri (Parvati).

From Gaurikund, your 18 km uphill trek to Kedarnath begins. The path is challenging and runs along the Mandakini River.

Kedarnath Temple is one of the 12 Jyotirlingas in India and holds great spiritual significance. Inside, you’ll see idols of the Pandavas, Draupadi, and Adi Shankaracharya. The temple is surrounded by majestic peaks: Kedarkund (22,000 ft), Kharchkund (21,600 ft), and Bharatkund (22,000 ft).

After darshan (temple visit), rest and have dinner at your hotel or ashram in Kedarnath.

Day 03: Kedarnath – Sonprayag – Guptkashi (18 km trek / 35 km drive)

Early morning, you may revisit the Kedarnath temple. Then, trek back to Gaurikund and drive to Guptkashi. Check into your hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 04: Guptkashi to Badrinath (200 km / 10 hours)

After breakfast, drive towards Badrinath, the second Dham in your journey. Your hotel near the temple offers beautiful views, including morning Aarti and temple rituals from your window.

Badrinath, at an altitude of 3,133 meters, is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. The name comes from the Badri (berry) trees that once grew in the area. According to legend, Goddess Lakshmi took the form of a Badri tree to protect Lord Vishnu during his penance.

Nearby, you can visit Triyuginarayan Temple, believed to be the wedding site of Lord Shiva and Parvati. Other sacred spots include the Tapt Kund (hot water spring), Narad Kund, and the historic Bheem Pul—a large stone bridge believed to have been placed by Bheem for Draupadi to cross the river.

Your final visit for the day will be Mana Village, the last Indian village before the Indo-China border, known for its Bhotiya tribal culture. You’ll also see Vyas Gufa and Ganesh Gufa, ancient caves linked to Hindu mythology.

Return to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 05: Badrinath to Haridwar/Rishikesh (320 km / 10 hours)

Enjoy your morning view of the Badrinath temple and have breakfast. After visiting any remaining spots, start your return journey.

On the way back, you’ll pass through Devprayag, where the rivers Alaknanda and Bhagirathi meet to form the holy Ganga River.

Once you reach Haridwar or Rishikesh, we’ll drop you at the railway station for your onward journey.

We hope you enjoyed your trip with us and look forward to serving you again.
